Hike to Lakurey Bhanjhyang
Our Grade XI hike to Lakurey Bhanjhyang on November 9, 2025, turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of the year. The day began early, with all of us gathering at school around 7:45 AM. The excitement was visible on everyone’s faces. It was a cheerful Saturday, and we were ready for a day filled with new challenges and unforgettable adventures.
At exactly 8:00 AM, we set off toward Lubhu in two school buses. The ride itself felt like the start of the fun, as we played energetic music, danced, and enjoyed the company of our friends. After about half an hour, we reached our starting point at 8:35 AM. Before beginning the hike, we took several group photos to capture the moment.
The hike began with a steep climb, which immediately tested our stamina. While some students found the initial slope difficult, I personally found it exciting and adventurous. As we continued, our large group naturally got spread out. Some students moved quickly ahead, others maintained a moderate pace, and a few needed extra time. Still, we made sure to wait for everyone and keep the group together. We chose to follow narrow shortcut trails instead of the main road, making our hike both faster and more thrilling.
The journey was not just about walking; it was filled with joy and laughter. We sang lively songs, danced along the way, and encouraged each other through the tougher sections. After some time, we reached an open resting spot where other groups were enjoying picnics. We took a break there, shared snacks, and admired the breathtaking mountain views. The scenery felt almost unreal. During this stop, we learned that one of our friends had lost his phone, so we waited until the rest of the group caught up. Even though we tried looking for the phone, we were unsuccessful in finding it. We tried calling the phone several times, and after some time, someone picked up the phone. They seemed to be near where we were, but they were at the peak, and we were descending. We agreed to meet at a specific point, but when we tried calling them again, the phone was switched off and we were unable to get it back. Saying that, what I can say is that our friend should have been more careful with his belongings.
Continuing forward, we passed through some breathtaking scenery and took some photos. We kept moving forward through some plain roads, then through some wooded areas as well. As we were passing through, our teacher, Laxmi ma’am, asked us to identify a few of the plants and herbs. Quite sadly, most of us were unsuccessful. After some time, we were tired but kept moving forward, chatting about random things with our friends.
After walking for a while, we were almost at the peak but still had some way to go. I was struggling a bit, but I pushed through and kept up with my friends. My legs felt like they were on the verge of breaking, but I kept thinking about the view and the joy of reaching the top together. With that motivation, I continued walking.
Once everyone was reunited, we continued toward Lakurey Bhanjhyang and then headed to Manmohan Memorial Park. The view of the Kathmandu Valley from the park was stunning. As part of our social responsibility, we also spent some time picking up trash in the area. Of course, we didn’t forget to enjoy ourselves. We made TikTok videos for fun and captured the beautiful surroundings.
After exploring the park, we decided to end our journey at Godawari. The trail leading down to Godawari was much easier than the path from Lubhu. Natural stone steps guided us smoothly downward, and along the way, we were surrounded by lush greenery, peaceful hills, and vibrant flowers that instantly caught my attention. The calmness of nature brought me a sense of inner peace, a refreshing break from our usual busy and stressful routine.
When we finally reached Godawari, we spent some time making videos and buying small snacks like titaura. Then we boarded the bus back to school, continuing our fun with music and dancing all the way home.
Overall, the hike to Lakurey Bhanjhyang was not only an adventurous and challenging journey but also a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature and strengthen our bond with friends, especially the new classmates we met after joining Plus Two. It is an experience I will always treasure.

Hike to Lakurey Bhanjhyang
On November 9, 2025, we students of Grade XI went on a hike to Lakurey Bhanjhyang. Our day started by gathering at school at 7:45 AM. It was a happy Saturday, and everyone was excited for the hike filled with challenges and adventure. Our journey started at 8 O’clock, where we departed towards Lubhu from our school in 2 different school buses. On the way, we played music on the bus and started dancing and enjoying the journey with fun.
After half an hour, at 8:35 AM, we reached our start point, where we clicked some group photos and then started our adventure. Our starting point was very challenging as the slope of the way was very high and it was very difficult for some of our friends, but for me it was more fun and adventurous. We were divided into groups as some hikers were ahead, some were moving at a normal pace, whereas some students were having trouble during the hike. But, slowly, by waiting for other friends, we continued our hike. We were climbing the hill from a shortcut, small paths, ignoring the main road, as it made our hike more efficient.
The hike was not only walking towards our destination, but the hike was also full of enjoyment as we sang energetic songs and danced on our journey. Moreover, after some hiking, we reached a point which had a plane resting place where some other groups were also having a picnic. There we had some food and clicked some photos. There, we also observed the view of beautiful mountains that was unbelievable. There we had to wait for our other friends, as we got to hear that one of our friends had lost his phone. After they came, we continued our hike towards Lakurey Bhanjhyang. After that, we went to Manmohan Memorial Park, where we enjoyed the wonderful view of the Kathmandu valley. There, we also collected some trash as our motive was to do some social service while hiking. Moreover, we also made some TikTok videos as part of our fun activities.
After that, we decided to end our journey in Godawari. So we started to hike down towards Godawari. The path there was not as slippery as Lubhu. We could find natural stair-type paths that helped us to easily get down to our final destination. In the downhill journey, we could see the beauty of nature. The hills and greenery were so beautiful. The hike gave me peace inside and helped me spend some time in nature as a break from my day-to-day stressful life. In between, we also observed very beautiful flowers that literally attracted me so strongly. Likewise, observing nature, we reached our endpoint, Godawari. There we spent some time making videos and buying some stuff like titaura. After that, we returned to our school on the bus, having fun and dancing to energetic music.
The hike was a memorable time that helped us spend some time in this beautiful nature and make good bonding with our new friends that we met after joining the plus two. Not only that, but this hike was full of challenges as in comparative to previous hikes, it had many challenges and adventurous ways.

Hike to Lakurey Bhanjhyang
On 23rd Kartik, our school organised the most thrilling, unbelievable, and unforgettable hiking trip to Lakurey Bhanjyang, an adventure so exciting it felt like something straight out of a movie. I reached school at exactly 7:40 AM, practically buzzing with electricity from head to toe. Everyone looked like they were ready to conquer mountains, jungles, and maybe even a wild dragon or two.
At 8:00 AM, the bus roared to life, and the moment it moved even an inch, the entire bus transformed into a travelling concert hall. Students began singing at the top of their lungs, dancing like professional performers, and laughing so loudly that even the trees outside might’ve heard us.
We arrived at the hiking starting point at 8:40 AM, and the moment our feet touched the ground, it felt like the mountain was calling us. The trail was so breathtakingly beautiful that it looked like nature had personally decorated it just for us, vibrant flowers glowing like tiny lanterns, tall trees stretching into the sky, and air so fresh it could have been bottled and sold as “Pure Mountain Magic.”
We formed groups, each one feeling like a team of brave explorers. We walked together, waited for each other, and supported anyone who felt even the slightest bit tired.
As we hiked, we saw so many plants and flowers that it felt like walking through a living painting. At one stunning spot, we stopped and stared at the Kathmandu Valley, spread below us like a shimmering city made of dreams. While eating snacks there, it felt like the view made the food taste ten times better.
We had four amazing teachers with us, who didn’t just guide us—they cheered, joked, encouraged us, and even bought us snacks and drinks, making them feel like the coolest heroes of the trip.
One of the funniest and most memorable moments was when we found some swings along the way. Suddenly, everyone became five years old again, flying in the air, laughing wildly, and having the time of their lives.
By 12:15 PM, we triumphantly reached the top of Lakurey Bhanjyang. The view was so stunning it felt like standing on the edge of the world. We took tons of photos, probably enough to fill an entire magazine. We sat under the refreshing breeze and ate more snacks—somehow even tastier because of the height.
Then came my favourite part, the local food. The flavours were so rich and unique that it felt like each bite carried a piece of the culture. I loved it so much I wished I could eat it every day.
While returning, the trail looked so similar that it felt like we were stuck in a nature maze, walking through the same magical forest again and again. But my group didn’t let the confusion slow us down. We sang, cracked jokes, and kept each other's spirits flying high.
By the time we reached the bottom, we were exhausted but victorious. The small shops there felt like little islands of joy. We grabbed more food, danced, sang, and enjoyed every minute until we finally rode back to school.
Once we arrived, the canteen meal felt like a well-earned feast after our “great expedition.” Eating together felt warm, comforting, and absolutely perfect.
In the end, the hiking trip to Lakurey Bhanjyang became a legendary memory filled with laughter, adventure, nature, and unforgettable moments. Truly, it was a day for the history books.
