On 10 July 2026, the students of Grade 5 and Grade 6 participated in an educational hiking trip to Harihar Cave in Bhalam, Pokhara. The excursion was organized by our school with the aim of enhancing our understanding of nature, local heritage, and the importance of teamwork through practical learning.
We began our journey early in the morning under the guidance of our teachers. As we hiked along the scenic trails, we enjoyed the fresh mountain air and admired the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding hills, forests, birds, and the magnificent view of Pokhara Valley. The peaceful environment made the journey both refreshing and memorable.
After reaching Harihar Cave, we explored the site and learned about its historical and cultural significance. Our teachers explained interesting facts about the cave and its natural surroundings, making the visit both informative and engaging. We also took photographs and spent time observing the rich biodiversity of the area. We returned back to school with enough experience and knowledge of Harihar Cave.
Overall, the hiking trip was an enriching experience that combined education with adventure. It taught us valuable lessons about physical fitness, environmental conservation, discipline, and cooperation. Everyone followed the safety guidelines and supported one another throughout the journey. This memorable trip developed our appreciation for nature and inspired us to protect our environment. It helped to develop friendship and teamwork among classmates. I can never forget this hike.
