On 12th Asar 2083, the students of Grades III and IV went on a hiking trip to Methlang, a beautiful hilltop in Pokhara. There were 39 students and 2 teachers on our trip.
We left our school at 10:35 a.m. by school bus and reached the starting point of our hike at 10:45 a.m. Then we began our 6 km hike. We walked along peaceful village trails, green forests, and open fields. The weather was pleasant, and we enjoyed the fresh air and the beautiful surroundings. Our teachers encouraged us to walk together and helped us whenever we felt tired.
After hiking for about one hour and forty-five minutes, we reached the top of Methlang at around 12:30 p.m. We were very happy and proud of ourselves. First, we had our lunch together. We also drank cool, fresh water from a natural spring, which was very refreshing after the long walk.
The view from the top was amazing. We could clearly see the beautiful Pokhara Valley, the magnificent Mount Fishtail, and the Annapurna mountain range. We spent some time enjoying the scenery, playing games in the playground, taking group photos, and sharing snacks with our friends. We laughed, talked, and had lots of fun together.
After spending a wonderful time at the top, we walked halfway down the hill and boarded our school bus back to school. We reached school during the sixth period. Although we were a little tired, we were very happy because we had enjoyed such a memorable day.
This hiking trip was a wonderful learning experience. It helped us stay active, appreciate nature, and build teamwork and friendship. We learned the importance of caring for the environment, helping one another, and enjoying the beauty of our surroundings. It was a day that we will always remember.
