On the first day, the group boarded the bus at 7:30 AM, eager to begin an adventure that would soon become an unforgettable experience. The journey progressed smoothly, with a tea break around 9:00 AM, allowing participants to refresh and regain energy. By approximately 11:30 AM, the group reached the resort where they would be staying overnight. Lunch was served at 12:00 PM, followed by a short rest period. Soon after, the hike officially began.
The trail passed through forested paths with several uphill sections that were physically demanding yet manageable. Throughout the hike, participants supported and encouraged one another, maintaining a steady pace. By around 4:30 PM, the group successfully reached Bethanchowk. Upon arrival, everyone took time to rest, capture photographs, and admire the breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan range. The sight of the snow-capped mountains made the long trek truly worthwhile. After enjoying a beautiful sunset, the group returned to the resort at 6:30 PM. Following a well-deserved rest, dinner was served, and the evening concluded with a warm campfire session where participants shared experiences, strengthened bonds, and reflected on the day before retiring for the night.
The second day began at 7:30 AM with breakfast, followed by preparations for the return journey. Despite physical fatigue from the previous day, participants remained motivated and cooperative. Lunch was taken at 12:30 PM, after which the group walked from the resort to the bus. The journey concluded at 4:45 PM upon arrival back at Deerwalk College, from where participants departed for their homes.
Overall, the two-day hike to Bethanchowk proved to be a successful and enriching experience. Although participants faced challenges such as physical exhaustion and demanding trails, the program fostered endurance, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation for nature. The objectives of the hike were effectively achieved, making it a memorable and beneficial experience for everyone involved.
