Nepal is a wonderland of historical sites, natural scenarios, mountain peaks, hidden valleys, and entertainment.
The trip was a full package on its own: swimming was refreshing as expected, Canoeing was a whole lot of more entertaining than I imagined, the barbecue was mouth watering, elephant ride was rather amusing.
My first outing with the team members was on 20th Sept which got me so excited that I reached office before time. As we were going the terai part we all were worried about the hot climate but weather support us and started raining softly. Road leading to Chitwan was filled with as much natural wealth with full of green slopes and trees and free flowing Trishuli next to us down the road and some waterfalls. The resort was so peaceful and everything was managed very beautifully.
“Together as a team” is the main theme of outings held by the Deerwalk teams. For Q4 Deerwalk Designer Team Outing, the destination chosen was Sauraha, Chitwan; where lies the Chitwan National Park. Sauraha is famous for its natural beauty, and its diversity in flora and fauna. For the outing, on 19 January, Saturday morning, we (Nimesh, Kedar and I) left deerwalk premises at 6:30 am. As scheduled Dambar , Shukra, Nisha, Manisha joined us at Balaju while Kanchan, Sunil were picked up at Kalanki. We left Thankot at around 7:15 am.
Here at Deerwalk we live by the motto, GET THE SHIT DONE on time, with efficiency and of high quality; but that’s just one half of the story. The other half (the more interesting one) is that we make it our duty to take some time off for ourselves and go on team outings, which in return refuels us to get the “shit done”. On that note, on Dec 15, 2012 the Project Management (PM) Team was off to Sauraha. Sauraha is a village in Chitwan district, Nepal situated close to the Rapti River and the Chitwan National Park. Leeza, who has been with Deerwalk for more than 2 years, was leaving the company for her future endeavors; and what better way to sign off than a trip to such a beautiful place.
