Day 1: Departure and Arrival in Pokhara
On the morning of June 6th, the Digital Media Team set off for Pokhara at 8:30 AM. As the journey progressed, many of us took the opportunity to catch up on some rest and sleep during the drive. We stopped for a lunch break, recharging for the adventures ahead.
Our first planned stop was Aina Waterfall, but unfortunately, the waterfall was dried up, which was a bit disappointing. Nonetheless, the scenic surroundings offered a pleasant break. We reached our hotel around 5 PM, where we enjoyed some snacks before heading out for a leisurely stroll around the Phewa Lake. The serene waters and vibrant atmosphere set a perfect tone for the trip.
After a delightful dinner, the team went cycling around the area. The cycling experience was fun and invigorating, providing a great way to explore the local environment before we retired for the night, ready for the next day’s activities.
Day 2: Hiking, Boating, and Night Exploration
The second day began with an unexpected hike to Summer Falls. Much like the previous day, the waterfall was dried up, but the hike itself was a physical challenge and a chance to enjoy Pokhara’s natural beauty.
Next, we headed to Pumdikot Mahadev, a peaceful and spiritually significant spot, where we spent some time soaking in the views and atmosphere. We stopped for lunch around noon, fueling ourselves for the afternoon’s highlights.
The afternoon was marked by group boating on Phewa Lake, which was a standout activity for many. Some team members also enjoyed paddling, adding an extra element of fun and adventure. Following the boating, we had 3-4 hours to explore Pokhara on our own, allowing everyone to discover local shops, cafes, and sights at their own pace.
As evening fell, we gathered for a delicious BBQ accompanied by lively card games, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. The night was far from over as we ventured out again to explore Pokhara’s lakeside again, soaking in the local culture and energy.
Day 3: Farewell and Return to Kathmandu
The final day started early with a 7 AM wake-up call. After a hearty breakfast, we began our journey back to Kathmandu. On the way, we made a brief visit to Deerwalk Pokhara School, where we explored the compound and took photos.
We stopped for lunch around 1 PM, giving everyone a chance to rest and refuel. The return trip was quiet and restful, with most team members catching up on sleep after the exciting and activity-packed days.
Conclusion: Cherished Memories and Team Bonding
Our Digital Media Team outing to Pokhara was a wonderful blend of adventure, nature, cultural experiences, and relaxation. Despite a couple of dried-up waterfalls, the trip was filled with memorable moments, from cycling by Phewa Lake to boating and BBQ nights. The visit to Pumdikot Mahadev and Deerwalk School added depth and meaning to our journey.
This outing not only strengthened our team spirit but also enriched our appreciation for Pokhara’s natural beauty and vibrant culture. We returned to Kathmandu rejuvenated, carrying with us unforgettable memories and a closer bond as a team.
