Hike to Nuwakot Durbar

Nearby Nuwakot Durbar area there is a Taleju temple. Only few of us took detour and went to visit the temple and some of us directly went to the hotel; Hotel Nuwakot View where we planned to stay. It was almost 4:30 pm then. I was all sweaty and tired so I was among those who directly went to the hotel to freshen up and take some rest. Some time later others also came to the hotel, then we ordered some food to eat. After the food, Pramod dai and Kapil dai suggested we take a small walk and go sightseeing. I was tired to the point that I did not want to go and Neeraj dai seconded. So we stayed at hotel whereas others left for the sightseeing. I was surprised that most of group members were still energetic.

Carrying on, we saw the beautiful Trishuli river along the way and we were hopeful that while returning, we would go and click some pictures there too. Well, I need to say, the roadway to Nuwakot is not smooth as the other highways, and the roads are really narrow and bumpy.

Hiking from T-Gaon to Trishuli

Hiking from T-Gaon to TrishuliHiking in Nepal -especially in the hilly areas- is a great activity full of fun and adventure. My office, Deerwalk Services, had recently organized such a hike, and I decided to join in to be part of fun and excitement. The hike was to start at seven in the morning on March 17, 2012, Saturday. The planned route was from Majhitar to Trishuli in Nuwakot district.

Hiking from Battar to Nuwakot Durbar

18.Nuwakot BazarIt was a cool and soothing Sunday morning on 25th September when few of us gathered here at the office premises for weekly hiking to the Nuwakot Durbar, a place with a historical significance. After picking up others along the way, we headed North along Kathmandu-Kakani highway, an alternative route out of Kathmandu, to avoid any possible traffic jams especially with the festive season in the offing. Unbeknownst to us, the narrower-winding-worn-out highway waited for us and the thick fog reduced visiblity, which significantly slowed us down. But the scenery around the vicinity was breath-taking and we occassionally stopped by for some photo shoots.
