Our hiking journey began early in the morning, as all 23 participants from Deerwalk and Deerhold Nepal gathered at 109 Restaurant at 7:00 AM. After enjoying a warm Nepali breakfast, we prepared ourselves for an adventurous day. By 8:00 AM, we picked up our colleagues from the Deerhold Japan and USA teams from their hotel, and together we headed toward Dhading in a van.
Our first major stop was at Dhading Deerwalk School, where we arrived around 10:00 AM. The international team explored the school premises and admired the clear mountain views. We were warmly welcomed with milk tea, and one of the school staff amazed everyone by doing one-handed and one-finger push-ups!
After a short rest, we officially started our hike from the school. The visit provided a meaningful opportunity for our international participants to connect with nature and experience the local environment. We continued toward Tallo Kanakot, making a memorable stop at Main Kanakot, where we met local villagers—adding cultural depth to our journey.
Throughout the hike, we took refreshing breaks and enjoyed snacks such as cucumbers, apples, and nuts. Due to certain trail challenges, we adjusted our route. Despite the heat and rough terrain, our Japan and USA teammates showed remarkable energy, teamwork, and spirit.
Around 12:30 PM, we reached Pani Tank, where we took a longer break. During this time, Nirmal Dai noticed fresh guavas on nearby trees and kindly requested some from the locals. The fresh fruit was a delightful treat that re-energized everyone. We rested, chatted, and appreciated the serene natural surroundings.
We resumed our journey and eventually reached Masiney – Spider Resort, where we enjoyed cold drinks and a well-deserved rest. Everyone relaxed, captured photos, and cherished the beautiful moments. By 4:15 PM, we returned for our final lunch together. The meal was hearty and fulfilling, marking a perfect ending to the day.
This hike brought together 23 participants from Nepal, Japan, and the USA, creating unforgettable memories of teamwork, cultural exchange, and friendship. Everyone returned with happy hearts, stronger bonds, and stories to cherish.
