Our hiking journey from Naubise, Dhading, to Tin Chhange Jharana and finally to Markhu, Kulekhani, was a long but unforgettable adventure. We left DDS at 6:00 a.m. and traveled through Thadobato, Kanakot, Tayalghar, and Khanikhola before reaching Panighatta near Tin Chhange Jharana. Our hike officially began at 7:30 a.m. We had a light breakfast at Dhusine around 8:30 a.m. and continued along the beautiful forest trail.
The journey was filled with natural beauty, including green forests, hills, fresh air, and peaceful surroundings. We enjoyed delicious wild fruits such as Kafal and Aiselu, which gave us energy along the way. However, the long and challenging trail tested our patience and endurance. Some hikers were frightened by leeches, while others experienced leg pain and difficulty walking. Despite these challenges, everyone supported and encouraged one another.
At Bisungkhel near Chitlang, we worked together to prepare breakfast, making the experience even more enjoyable. As we descended toward Markhu, the breathtaking view of Indra Sarovar Lake refreshed our tired minds.
We finally reached Markhu around 5:00 p.m., where we enjoyed a late lunch with delicious local fish at De Lakeside View, Simlang, Kulekhani. Afterward, we returned home via Markhu, Bheda Farm, Chitlang Bazar, Chandragiri, and Thankot to DDS. Overall, the hike taught us the value of teamwork, patience, endurance, and appreciating nature.
