    This time really, competetation was neck to neck. सबै फोटोहरु राम्रा भएर पनि एस फेब्रुअरी महिनाको विजयी Abishesh JoshiDreamSky हुनु भएकोमा हार्दिक शुभकामना ।

There was a TIE for the 1st Position (Winner). Both the winners’ percentage is 25% whereas standing with 24% in third position is also praiseworthLucida.

    To an Extent, I agree with the words of Aakar, The Shape. यसरी नै नयाँ नयाँ फोटोहरु पस्किन्दै जानुस्, धन्यवाद ।।। ;-)

Congratulations Abishesh. It was first time a tie in LIN I guess. Thanx Dreamsky for sharing the link. Photographers form ‘majority world’ deserve to tell their story and it always makes me proud when I see the work of Nepali Photographer/Photojournalists published in international publication.
I may sound stubborn here but being an active participant of the chain of comments, as mentioned by Dreamsky, I think the original picture and the cropped one(published in the magazine), itself justifies my point in our discussion somehow(making the picture more simple and direct).
Once again Congratulations Abishesh, hope to see more from you in future as well.

DreamSky! You too deserve a big round of applauses for your creditable photography and your quest on finding surrealistic within reality. Keep thriving.

Congratulations Abishesh bro! We made a nice story of this tie here but you deserved it. I just recalled those chain of comments on this photograph trying explain why this is a WOW shot for me which contradicted other viewers ideas in some extend :P

Btw, for those who didn’t know, I proudly mention here that this photograph has been featured in a California based magazine 831Magazine (winter/spring 09)

My sincere regards to those who have voted me :)

    Surprise! Surprise!
What a rare coincidence to get 50/50 votes on pictures ‘Sadhus and Shivaratri’ and ‘Mahasivaratri at Pashupatinath’ here in EU: Photo of the month. Indeed both pictures reflect the theme of LIN very well and are best through photographic point of view. So, we would like to congratulate both photographers Abishesh Joshi and DreamSky for their excellence and creativity.

Even viewers have voted 50/50, LIN must announce one picture as a winner of EU: Photo of the month – February 2009 and it was difficult job for us to finalize one winner out of these two best pictures. After some deep debate among LIN Team, we finally rely on our initial score which we did individually as a judge member of LIN Team to select six best pictures of the month – February 2009. According to the total scores the picture received enabled us to make one picture as a winner of the photo of the month and we are happy to announce ‘Sadhus and Shivaratri’ by Abishesh as winner of the photo of the month February 2009.
