Some arrangements needed to be made, so we were not able to depart immediately. We left the school premises in a bus at about 8:30 am with 21 students and 6 teachers.

On 31st of Bhadra, the last Sunday of the month, we, grade 6 and 7 students, went hiking. The route was from Kapan Gumba to Gokarna through Jagdol and Fulari Gomba. First of all, I would like to thank my school and my teachers for organizing such a wonderful program. At night before hiking I had dreamt that I would be going to be lost in the hiking.
Being with my colleagues for the first time in the hike was fabulous for me. The environment inside Van was ecstatic. Anib was playing different songs and Kamal Dai was relating those songs with real life. This moment was awesome. We stopped at Pharping to have some breakfast. After a while we continued our journey by singing songs, cracking jokes and clicking the picture. We were so pleased to see Pear trees beside the road containing lots of Pear.
As the van was moving down the winding road of Naubise, the hikers inside the bus was enjoying the tracks of interchanging bollywood and English songs. The hikers were also goofing and laughing with instant jokes cracked. Along with the crave for fun and enjoyment, everyone was hoping for the van to stop at some tea stalls or restaurants for breakfast. The van finally came to stop at Naubise Bazar and everyone rushed out of the van towards the restaurant. They were served with delicious jeri, puri, tarkari, and tea.
Khopasi to Balthali hike is one of the most delightful experience one would not want to miss. Located on the outskirts of the valley, away from the daily hustle of the city, lies a village so peaceful and serene. The secluded Balthali Village, just within an hour drive from Kathmandu, provides a rich cultural and traditional civilization untouched by modernity, with a splendid view of different Himalayan ranges. It has only been a month since I joined Deerwalk and getting this opportunity to explore the beautiful hiking trial filled with natural varieties of floras and various terrace fields was just a cherry on top.
