This is a lovely shot Ravi. I thought of commenting long ago but couldn’t manage.
I see a semantically well composed elements in the photo and I find the “Terai” essence clearly reflecting in the photo. The color of the house-structure at the background, color of the boy’s cloth, the landmarking “landmark”, thela in the side view, the younger kid in his “school uniform shirt” (you took this shot early in the morning on Sunday); and the chinese watch at his wrist :)
All in all, a nice memory from Bardibas on the lane of (Highway 06)
Nice shot Ravi, I love photos with people in it, specially those who are smiling :)

@ Shutterbug:- Thank you so much for your advice and suggestion, which you’ve been doing all the time. It creates space(a platform) for newbie like me to improve and think before taking any shots with these kind of regular feedback. Will definitely keep that thing on my mind before taking shots like this. Never thought the way you’ve mentioned above about the DOF (Depth of Field) and the vision. Your idea would have made this picture look better. The blur thing rand the sharpness really matters a lot in a picture.

Once again thanks for the tips/advice..

I think it is difficult to harmonize these three elements.. landmark, expression and colors in this picture and as a photographer you have to be specific, whether you want to show landmark or expression. One best approach to make landmark prominent is to take DFO under control and blur the background moderately with little wider perspective to include more surrounding of Bardibas. For children’s expression, completely blurred background and in monochrome would have been better choice.
