Description:

Rato Machhindra Nath is of one major festivals of Lalitpur. It is regarded as god of Rain. And fortunately, it started to rain here in Nepal after very long time during the festival.

People all round Lalitpur gather in this festival. Some dance in newar instrument beat, some play tipical newari musical instrument, other pull the charoit and rest watch this magnifician festival.

The charoit in the right is the main charoit where Rato Machhindra Nath is placed.

Superb Angle of View with vivid colors. For me, you should have cropped few inches (where we find a tiny part of a house) in the left side of your snap. As Shutterbug said a bit of higher angle would have added more life in the snap.

I would have taken the picture in Vertical framming from a distance capturing the full chariot & the mass but again from a higher angle. Pls. don’t worry your framming & angle of view is very nice. Pls. keep clicking. ;-)

Indeed a wonderful moment that any photographer doesn’t want to miss capturing this very euphoria of people at Rato Machhindra Nath Jatra (festival of rain God). I wish Ujjwal could go higher elevation to capture this event from high perspective, which would definitely convey the enormity of people gathered around the chariot and the joy of festival. If there were no chances to get a high perspective, then including both wheels of the chariot could make ‘subject’ (chariot) sands vivid within the frame. Anyway, it’s a good effort. Keep it up! Ujjwal.
