The purpose of team outing is basically to have fun with team members and enjoy the time without having to worry about the work which we have put behind. It can be assumed to be a motivational event which provides opportunities to get to know one another and refresh ourselves from the mundane task.
Nagarkot always seems to be fun, so we choose it as our outing destination. It was the first outing for me to the place with my team members. With great joy in my heart, we set out for the outing at about 2.30 pm. It was a journey of about an hour and half to our destination. We were thoroughly enjoying ourselves with the various songs played by Manish and Suvash. We reached our destination, Peaceful Cottage Resort, at about 3.45 pm. The resort had two divisions; one was for restaurant and another one for accommodation. The restaurant had terraces from which we could observe serene beauty of the Himalayas, and also sufficient space for doing activities as well barbecue. Soon some snacks and tea were served which were finished in no time as we were starving. After that we performed some team building activities where everyone seemed to have a great time. Soon after the activities, the resort manager arranged fireplace for us so that we can do barbecue as well. Niraj and Narayan were already energized to set up chicken and pork barbeque which we had bought on the way .The evening was followed by fun filled talks, songs, games, drinks and teasing each other. At 9pm we had our dinner. After dinner, most of us went to the part with accommodation in the resort to take rest while few of the members still wanted to warm themselves by the fireplace. Some interested members played card games to enjoy themselves while rest of us went to sleep. Since we were eager to view the glorious sun rise from Nagarkot in the morning, few of us woke up early in the morning at about 4.30 am and went to the top of resort from where had a clear view of sky. Due to unfavorable climate we could not have the clear picture of the sunrise. Nevertheless we did have our pictures taken. After the breakfast, a team of 6 people including me, decided to visit the Nagarkot tower to have clear view of the Himalayas. It took us about an hour to reach the tower as the way was not easy. We had various snapshots on the tower as well as on the way back from there. We were quite tired after reaching the resort. At about 12 pm, we had our lunch and set back home at about 1 pm. On the way back from Nagarkot, we enjoyed ‘lemony’ (lemon tea) in warm sun. Finally, we reached our home with memories of the unforgettable moments which we had together in Nagarkot; I shall cherish it for a long time to come.

This was one of the highly anticipated outings during the peak cold season. It seemed certain that the cold would spoil the day, making everyone spend most part of the time indoors, but it was our resolve which made the difference.
We appreciate team for coming forward and making this outing a memorable one. The views were incredible, including those from the top of resort, we took some amazing photos of the Himalayan range. We enjoyed the sunset on the first day, beautiful escalating mountain range, and total serenity of the place. In the evening, brilliant backyard gathering with delicious BBQ was a lot of fun. Playing cards were not only time pass but moment to relax. All in all a great outing with lots of fun.
“If the path is beautiful, ask where it leads to. But if the destination is beautiful, don’t ask how the path is, just keep going”

Outing is always fun. Outing at Nagarkot, one of the most beautiful hill-stations of Kathmandu Valley, was as good as expected.
Just one day prior to the outing I talked to the event coordinator Niraj Thapa and asked if I could join them. Thapa Ji very happily welcomed me and made the necessary reservations for as well.We reached our destination around 3pm. It was too cold and windy. Team building games really heated us. Before the sunset we started fire for BBQ. Niraj and Mani took the lead in BBQ and I joined hands with them. It was an outstanding experience.
The most memorable part was the story telling section where all of us had to tell one. In fact, it was a moment where I recalled my journey from KU-VeriskIT-Deerwalk. I feel honored to have been a part of Deerwalk family.
Singing and dancing are unavoidable in any event. All of us sang together and danced and enjoyed to the fullest. Any outing is incomplete without a game of cards. We were so desperate that we waited till mid-night for the power supply to resume so that we could play cards.
What a way to start the day; we started playing cards immediately after breakfast at 8am and it went on till lunch. We took group pictures and ended the event in a classic style. I must say it was one of the best outings I have ever been on. Thanks everyone!
