In a grand ceremony held at Shanker Hotel, Lazimpat, Nepal’s first Open Source Software competition concluded on 8th August 2009. The 8 months long Open Software Challenge Nepal (OSCN) 2009 was able to attract 83 projects out of which 12 had made it to the grand finale.

Open Software Competition Nepal 2009 (OSCN) organized the first of its training sessions for its participants on March 7, 2009. The participants were divided into two groups and each group had three sessions. The trainings concerned OSS (Open Source Software) and OSCN overview, project management and a D2labs platform walk through.
