On Nov 3rd,2018, we were all set for the two days hike in which total of 18 members participated. Our meet point was at Deerwalk College, where we all gathered and headed towards the destination at about 6:45 am. Through the bumpy and curved roads of Sakhu, we had our breakfast at Jharsing pauwa at about 8:30 am.
2018 DEERPICNIC was held at Godavari Village Resort on Saturday, November 17, 2018. It was a clear, crisp Saturday that turned into a beautiful sunny day. The picnic started off with a delicious breakfast of coffee, tea, cookies, sandwiches, and pakauda in order to energize everyone for the day.
On Sunday, 30th September we went on a hike to Taudaha. We gathered at the college at 7 AM sharp and departed at 7:30 AM. There were total 12 hikers and, on the way we had breakfast at 8 AM at Nakkhudobato. We were very excited to reach our destination. The knowledge given by Mr. Surendra Adhikari Sir was very informative about the place.
On May 30th 2018, I along with Pratik and Barsha started our official visit to US. Our flight was at around 9:10 pm in the evening which was headed towards Boston, our final destination via Abu Dhabi as the transit city. After landing in Boston we took a cab to our office where we got to meet our Deerwalk team members and our US based office. There I got to know about the different tasks and challenges we had to tackle with completely new environment from what we have in Nepal.
Deerwalk Services (DWS) started a monthly community service campaign named Deerclean. The first Deerclean was held on May 12, 2018, with the aim to reestablish and restore cleanliness of the school environment. All 4 squads were committed to taking this initiative a step further. Needless to say, squad D eagerly waited for their turn to take part in the Deerclean event scheduled on Saturday, 27th October 2018.
After a daylong event of ‘Teachers Together’ on previous day, Bijaya Dai broke the news that we had to hike the next day. At first, I was rather skeptical and kept wondering whether I could make it or not—I was tired and not feeling well. Without giving it much thought, I decided to go for a hike even though I knew that it was going to be tough one for me.
If you want a break, a must needed a break from your day-to-day boring life and get away from the hustle of the city, then make a plan to go hike to Bagdwar. Believe me, it will help. Bagdwar is one of the best destinations for a one-day hike, a bit tiring but worth it.
Hiking is not a new thing to me, but the people with whom I was going to share the trails of Shivapuri National Park – Bishnudwar – Nepalese Army Shivapuri were new to me. I recently joined Deerwalk Services and this was my first outing from the company and was very excited to go on a hike. As per the email sent to all the interested participant, the van was scheduled to leave the deerwalk premises at 8:00 in the morning. There was some delay and the hiace actually rolled out of the gate.
I was very delighted when Pramod dai informed me that my US visit has been scheduled for Aug of 2018. From that day on I was very excited about my visit. On July 31, I along with my colleague (Narayan Chalise) went to Boston via TIA. We had two transits, one at Abu Dhabi and another was at New York. On the same flight from Abu Dhabi, our US collegue Mukta didi and her family were returning to the US so we didn’t face any problems in any of our transits.
