Imagine, (all the people, living for today – could not help it!) flying out at 2 am in the morning and getting to your destination at 2 pm in the afternoon the same day but you have actually been on the journey for more than 24 hours. The temporal paradox is a mindboggling concept and the idea of time travel is too big for my little head, but the way I felt it, January 2019 was the month when I travelled back in time. “720 precious hours, spend it wisely!”, was the constant voiceless thought in my head and the bad news was as we all know, time flies, but the good thing, I was the pilot.
The day had finally arrived. All of us were very eager and excited as we gathered inside the Deerwalk complex to commence our hike to Okhreni. The plan for the hike was decided a couple of days earlier and the final list of hikers was finalised by the evening a day later. I joined the hike as I believed it was a great opportunity to experience an adventure into the wild.
This was the second hike I attended here in DWIT. There were total of 17 hikers and all the hikers gathered at the Deerwalk complex at 6:30 am. We left the complex at 7:00 am via college bus.
Thanking the weather for being good, despite the forecast of heavy rain on 16 February, Saturday, we gathered in Deerwalk complex at 10:30 am. We all had been waiting for this day since months and were very excited. 22 people including me along with our 3 teachers, headed by bus towards our first destination, Markhu.
“Jobs fill your pocket, but adventures fill your soul.” as quoted by Jamie Lyn Beatty, My soul was overwhelmed when I was chosen for an official visit to the US. This was one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences of my life. On Nov 30, at around 12 in the noon, I departed from […]
Travelling places is always fun for memories and experiences we collect and what better than the United States in October 2018 which was exciting in every ways. Qatar Airways took off at 2 AM from Kathmandu, transited through Doha and took me to Boston. Doha transit was amazing for me to see range of diverse […]
If you are interested in a short hike around the valley but don’t have any experience regarding it, then Champadevi Hike is what I’d suggest you to get started with. You’d get the desired scenic view with calm environment, without feeling like you are not going to complete the hike and might not even make it. Champadevi offers a great view of the valley and with right companions, you’d have a great time hiking uphill.
Within the few days of my consolidation to Deerwalk Sifal School, I was very much lucky to join the trip to Kalinchowk. I was pretty excited when I had come to know about the trip. It had been a great opportunity for me to join this trip as it was my chance to know the Deerwalk personnels.
This was my first two days hike and I was quite excited about it since early morning. We all gathered at Deerwalk complex around 6:45 am. There were total of 13 hikers. After the arrival of all the members, we headed towards Daman by our college van drove by friendly Suman dai. On our way to Daman, we stopped at Naubise to have breakfast. After having our breakfast, journey from Naubise to Daman started.
19th jan was set to be the first day that the newly hired guys and girls, along with the established and experienced crew, were to be taken out for a hike. The hike was from Kakani to Jhor Mahankal with half of the trail included in the Shivapuri-Nagarjun national park. Although the route was not far from any of our homes, it was sure a memorable one. Our journey started from the office campus, gathering most of us there itself and travelling in our office’s micro-bus towards Kakani, Nuwakot.
