Cheers to the little guys

The match between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia (football, World Cup 2006, for the sake of context) has just ended in a draw (2-2). I missed Spain's match today because I had to work late. As I sat down to watch this one, I was pretty reluctant, not to mention tired and sleepy. Since both teams were underdogs, I wasn't expecting much from the match (and it stayed that way for the early first half). Right now, I am really glad that I stayed and watched it, because to date, this was the most entertaining match in the tournament by far.
So far, the general consensus is that Germany, England, France and Brazil have all disappointed the audience. I wonder if I should stick to the underdogs, at least for the early stages of the tournament. In any case, this match has certainly woken me up. I will definitely stay up to watch Germany take on Poland. It's only about an hour away. It's midnight already. I just hope I can get to work on time tomorrow.

I feel bad for Poland. They put up such a valiant effort. And to be scored on just when the game was almost over!
Talking about underdogs, the Africans are impressive too. Ghana and Ivory Coast both were good, and I hope one of them repeats the Senegalese episode last world cup.

Same here! Same here! I feel equally bad for Poland.

Yeah, I saw the game too.
It looked like the Polish team was not well managed at all.
What do you think?

Poland has a long way to go. I do not like soccer becuase game is highly predictable. I have been predicting winner for most of the games in last seven days and have been right almost every time. What is that?

They do not have world class scorer and soccer game is a team game. They lacked in one place and suffered for whole. I do feel sorry for them too. Good luck for next time

I have not even watched most of the games. Just bits and pieces here and there. I like ball games though. I believe that the winner team will always be the ones who are playing not to win but to have fun playing within team members and the opposing team. Just keeping in mind that the one who gets away with the world cup might not be just the one who won.
