This email comes to you from the terrified guardians of Kathmandu University whose children are studying there at various levels. We are writing to ...
draw your valuable attention towards the crisis at Nepal's premier academic ...institution and the corruption of Vice Chancellor Dr. Suresh Raj Sharma, Registrar (on leave) Dr. Sitaram Adhikari, Acting Registrar Dr. Bhadra Man Tuladhar and many other hand-picked sycophants who hold positions at KU.
This email is long, but please read on because we are trying to expose one of the most influential person in the academic circle of Nepal. We will send you more emails in future to expose the corruption of Suresh Raj and his gang. Please have patience while we break the myth about the person. We are sending you a blind copy of this mail only to protect your id from any possible misuse by others.
We are forced to email you (and hundreds of others) because the Nepali media do not give any news of what is going at KU. We have found out that the publisher of Kantipur Mr. Hem Raj Gyawali has signed a pact with Suresh Raj Sharma not to cover the incidents that brings him in the picture as both are very good friends. Similarly, the journalists of Kantipur, Nepal Samachar Patra, Himalayan Times, Samaya, Spotlight, NTV etc. and local papers are bribed to sit on the information that reveal the corruption of Suresh Raj and the malpractices going on at KU. We have evidence that even editors of these news agencies are helpless before the management committee. What a poor show of journalist ethics. (That's why we are sending this to many national and international journalists). We can only hope these managers of news and the newspersons will independently investigate the truth and inform the public very soon about the plight of students, teachers and staffs.
Recently, one Buddhi Bahadur Bishwokarma, was forced to commit suicide due to the extremities of the authoritarian VC Suresh Raj. (Please note that Kantipur and almost all the newspapers did not publish this incident even as news.) What we found has terrified and shocked us. This ACADEMIC TERRORIST encouraged his servant deans to come down heavily against those who support the idea of a welfare organization for staff, teachers and students. Please be reminded that Kathmandu University Professor's Association(KUPA), Kathmandu University Staff Association(KUSA) and Student Welfare Council(SWC) have been fighting since August 2006 to establish these welfare organizations and Suresh Raj has openly opposed it. (In the past teachers and staffs have been threatened by him directly and through his bootlickers just because nearly 80% of KU employees have turned against him after being convinced that this opportunist immoral bastard is really very dangerous, power hungry and desperate.) One supporter of Suresh Raj, Acting Dean of Engineering Bhola Thapa one day called Buddhi to his office and threatened him to fire from his job if he continued to support the idea of KUSA. Poor dedicated Buddhi who was an introvert and minded his own business could bear this no longer. He went home, told his wife that such has happened, asked her to go to Public Commission office in Kathmandu to get a application form for government service, and after his wife was gone, hanged himself from the ceiling. What can be more tragic than this incident in an organization that treats dedicated people this way? Come to KU and contact KUSA, they will provide you the recording of what Buddhi's wife said immediately after the death.
Who is responsible for Buddhi's death? Is not Suresh Raj a MURDERER? Don't you think he should be taken into custody and this case investigated by an independent commission? PLEASE HELP, SUGGEST and DO your bit from your side. We are guardians but cannot come out openly because we fear that our kid's future will be in jeopardy. We just want to keep away at this time of exam because mafia dons in the name of exam controller called Pushpa Raj Adhikary or PRA may fail any student whose parents are seen campaigning against them. We are not cowards, not even selfish but afraid to take the lead. If you all promise, we will come forward. We will support you to expose double standard people like Suresh Raj. If you are a lover of democracy than this autocratic murderer should face the same fate as Gyanendra.
This incident has happened because Suresh Raj has suddenly become more powerful after making a deal with PM Koirala during the latest emergency Senate meeting that was called to provide affiliation to Nobel Medical College at Biratnagar. Despite opposition from the Senators the PM forced Suresh Raj to give affiliation to this college. Suresh Raj needed no better opportunity than to please the PM, who is also the Chancellor of the university, and thus remain in power by agreeing to the most powerful politician in the history of Nepal. Initially Suresh had been successful in bribing people like Madhav Kumar Nepal, Arjun Narsing KC, Bimalendra Nidhi, Pashupati Shumsher Rana, Pashupati Bhakta Maharjan(advisor to King), Sher Bahadur Deuba, Krishna Prasad Bhattara, Chiranjivi Wagley, Ishwor Pokhrel, Kamal Thapa, Srikant Regmi, Bimal Koirala (former Chief Secretaries) and most recently he tried to please people like Prachanda and Baburam Bhattarai when they visited the university. There are many people officials, bureaucrats, politicians who circulate 'good words' of the Suresh because their kids have been favored tremendously by this shrewd man. His cunning is all the more successful when he provides scholarships to the kids of these influential people. Infact, at KU it is not at all difficult to get admission or job if you hold high-profile contacts. The medical colleges and other departments are infiltrated with kids of such powerful people who have all used Suresh Raj to get their kids admitted. Imagine the shrewdness of this great Suresh Raj when he was successful is admitting deceased Prince Nirajan in a new affiliated college. The owner of this college Bishnu Adhikary, a cunning ally of Suresh Raj, actually bribed Suresh Raj to get hold of late King Birendra and ask his son to enroll in one of the program of KU. Now in return every year Suresh Raj uses his 'free' seats at Kathmandu College of Management. Similar is the case of all the medical colleges affiliated by KU. VC's own daughter graduated from Manipal Medical College in a 'free' seat after Manipal requested to raise its quota and introduce other programs in the college. Everybody knows the alliance with Dr. Shekhar Babu Rizal, principal of Nepal Medical College . It is also known how Suresh used Dr. Upendra Devkota and Dr. Ashok Banskota to run the medical college of KU. Our students tell that they really really regret joining KUMS because good people like Dr. Arjun Karki have already left and it is impossible for Suresh Raj to bring the support of Harvard again. Suresh has shown his biggest ego in ousting some dynamic people from KUMS and work with oversmart Dr. Ram Kantha Shrestha of Dhulikhel Hospital. Can you imagine a person like Ram has become Professor of Surgery without any substantial professional and teaching experience? He was made the professor just because Suresh needed some local support and Ram can easily mobilize the local goondas as he himself is like a mafia don. Nothing to say of the poor medical service of Dhulikhiel hospital now.
The point here is Suresh has used his cunning schemes by pleasing all kinds of powerful people to remain as Vice Chancellor for 16 years. How has he been successful in running an academic mafia in the country and all the enlightened people remained quite? Are there no capable people in the country to run a university in a clean and transparent? What are the advisors of these powerful people doing when a crafty man like Suresh Raj roams freely by killing people like Buddhi? Are not Nepali citizens really concerned that Suresh Raj and his close team had turned KU into a family business? How long will YOU sit quietly and act as if nothing has happened? Or, you are not convinced that Suresh Raj is a bad guy? Well, in the past there were many people who honored him with awards like Jhapat puruskar, Bhupalman singh Karki puruskar and many other. Look at the history of people and organization of who awarded these prizes to him and connect this to whether their kids have any connection to KU, everything will become clear to you. Just look at the people who say 'good things' of Suresh Raj and find out discreetly whether they or their relatives have benefited from this manipulator, everything will become clear to you. Please come to KU and talk to those 150 teachers and staff about what is the actual character of this 'respected' person, everything will become clear to you. Please don't keep an ideal picture in your mind of this academic gunda (don), build a picture out of your own true evaluation.
In the next email you will receive a list of all the relatives of Suresh Raj Sharma, Sitaram Adhikary and Bhadraman Tuladhar. We will also tell how incompetent people like Kedar Nath Shrestha and Subash KC are made professors and how Suresh has used them without their knowing. We are also trying to find out how many other people in KU got job through the influence of these people. Surprisingly there are many KUPA and KUSA members in the list, but we will try to publish it so that you will have a true picture of how these three creatures are actually responsible to bring disrepute to KU and ultimately lead to its destruction.
We have also received emails from contractors and suppliers of KU telling how person like Sitaram Adhikary and Bhadraman Tuladhar were paid hefty sums as commission money. Our only concern now is to save Kathmandu University from becoming a family organization of these three creatures and expose how these animals are murdering their own subordinates.
BUT, we can still hide everything if these corrupt people quit KU immediately and take away with them their most incompetent relatives so that KU becomes a clean place to work.

PS: As we were preparing this email we got several emails from students saying there is a danger of crippling the university once again because Suresh Raj fired the Secretary of KUSA Ameet Berma. Oh God, just put Suresh Raj and his team behind bars if you want KU to run properly.

All crap! People are jealous of Suresh Raj. I see him as a pioneer in Nepal's education sector. University is not a political ground for parties. VC has to control that. Good job Suresh!!

We all agree that there are problems in ku. There is nepotism in ku. But the way these issues are being carried out is totally inappropriate. University is not a political ground. And also guys please don't try to give it a political color.
Some perverts like suresh bhakta shrestha, anup basnskota and some opportunist like Bhuvati Jha( jun thal ma khayo, tesma…..) ; we all know your real nature. Dear suresh bhakta , don’t try to be over smart, we all know you have improved you writing( means your vocab) but you inner critical analysis is still flawed… Everyone in ku knows your character; your cabin restaurant habit…..
And also Mr. Samir Dixit if you really want to peruse the (failed) dream of your father to become the major political figure of Nepal why don't you join the political party straight way and do demonstration in road. Why are you taking the route of academia? Even if you are try to do something in favor of good the whole process of propaganda and Name calling is really disgusting.
And dear Mr Suresh Raj sir, we all have respect for you and what you did for ku since its establishment. You did some great jobs and mistakes too which is undeniable. But this is time for you to make a wise decision and take a graceful exit. Rather then fighting with these people why don’t to take this as an opportunity and make both staff and student the powerful by taking appropriate measure. I don’t think making staff and student organization will harm ku in any way.

First of All, I am an opponent of using harsh words against anybody, let it be, VC Suresh Raj Sharma, who is as honorable after this copy has been brought in from another site as a replica. Here, we should not use blog for making a replica, whoever did it, and Site Administrator is mum about it. I remember Site Administrator removing some entries which were near to replica of other sites as a new Entry. But, here, the Admin is quiet. I do not understand fishy nature of activities going on here. I do not understand why people hate toppers, achievers, best-of-the-best in their fields? specially in Nepal. It is human right to hate. But using words like murderer to the reputed personality is really worrying. Why people are trying to destroy the Kathmandu University? where I completed my Bachelors, and is proud to be a student there. it must be work of those who envy the power and the progress. Even Maoists have demonstrated Well -Attitude towards KU,but, why we see a lot of negative remarks these days on blogs.. against VC..May somebody could not get the coveted position by Force(using students/teachers/Administration....). Hell to the Nepalese Mentality. I have put in my article on KU already that If you guys have proof, go to the court to challenge. Now, even the King can be challenged and VC is just a simple man very much like us who fought with full support to make education system better in Nepal. Guys, Do you think that by dismantling KU, you would be suitable for producing your Degrees in the Future? The JobHolders will think: "If this person is so most against its university, the same will be against the company he is working for and is trying to create negative characterization of top level as Character displayed once is for ever."

Hello CAN - you guys are bunch of losers! Tell me one good thing that you have done. D2 is bigger than CAN. I see bunch of loser in CAN because you can't incorporate the biggest software company of Nepal. D2 is bigger than CAN and your voice does not count. Stay silent. Do not make noise. Computer engineers do not listen to you hardware vendors. You are merely an assoiciation of hardware vendors. Go sleep!

I think writer do not have any rights to call Suresh Raj Sharma, “murderer”. This is very cheap article and I felt my self just waste of time reading it. More negative you write, more questions arise on its validity. We all should realize that Dr Suresh Raj Sharma has done a lot to strengthen KU's reputation. If he would not have established KU, you probably do not get chance to write this article. It seems that it is an internal problem of KU which should be solved internally.

its really clear that the post is not from KU guardians actually, even I completed my graduation from KU itself and have been close to the teachers and staffs who are actively involved in the association. there are number of myths in this post and are really irrelevant in many cases. Its not that Suresh sir has not done any flaws.. he might have but we sudnt overlook his contribution to this country as well. by posting such comments publicly u are not jus making a bad reputation of Ku but of students as well.. who do u think will be hampered more from this.. this will create negative impact in the market where students will have to go after their graduation. please have some sense and think over it. these are internal issues and need to b handled internally.
