279. Young school girl washing a pan

Description: As we were traveling through the mountain villages, we stopped at one of the houses and talked with some of the residents inside. I was just waiting outside and noticed this school girl washing this small pan in her hands. Something about this scene struck something very deep inside me. I can’t fully explain it here, but this was definitely one of those moments when my heart filled up with an enormous amount of emotion that I didn’t know what to do with it.

All I could think of was simply to take the best photo I could of this moment and hope that it would come out clear.

The image has stayed stuck in my mind even to this day.
