Description: An interesting lesson I learned from my time of teaching was how we take our schooling for granted. I never realized that simple classroom participation was something that is unique amongst western cultures.

In Nepal, it was completely foreign to the students that Mike & I would actually want to hear their answers or their opinions. The students generally never had this kind of interaction between student and teacher. For that reason, the students really did enjoy our time with them because it was fresh and different.
