Description:
Horse Riders practicing horse parade in Tudikhel, Kathmandu as preparation for Ghode Jatra. It falls on the month of mid March or early April. During the festival the horse athletics and racing contest is held.
Legend reveals that this festival was held to celebrate the victory over a demon named Tundi who resided over the meadow, today known as Tundikhel. Tundi was a terror, so when he met with his death people rejoiced by dancing on his body with horses.

WOW! here comes the Shutterbug again with his perfect shot, as always.
perfect composition!
Photo’s perspective and the angle tell that the shot was taken from a real distance. If it is not a cropped image, really a wonderful catch with such a seamless composition of a moving horses from that distance.
Shutterbug playing with the trick - green, the eye catcher.

Thank you DreamSky and GreatPic for the compliment.
I was pursuing different assignment the day, when I took this picture in hurry from overhead bridge near Shaid Gate. Yes this picture is slightly cropped to the left and below to give good balance to its composition.
I agree, GreatPic: capturing horses in running action, probably using panning technique could make a great capture. Actually I didn’t have much time to go inside Tundikhel and to try my luck.
