A Beautiful Visitor

While I was in ‘Royal Beach Camp’ at Trishuli River to learn Kayaking from a well-known professional kayaker, Ram Silwal , this unexpected guest visited us fluttering its beautiful wings and landed on hand of Ram as if it got descended from heaven above. For both Ram and I, it was a sheer joyful moment to admire the beauty of nature.

Nepal is so rich in Nature, be proud of it.

WOW ! :!: you lucky guy to have such a lovely guest :)
and of course a lovely shot.

I was just wondering why the background is so plain instead of the river or some kayaker behind

Thank you DreamSky and Yastai Ho for your comments!

DreamSky! Background is all green because water during that season was green. I have carefully composed this picture without including any other distracting elements (Ram, Kayak, other kayers) within my composition, which allow me to draw viewer’s attention to the main ’subject’ (butterfly). And I was able to blur the background completely, by going pretty close to my subject (approximately one meter). You can try this technique to blur the background remarkably, or if you don’t have micro-lens in hand.

I have uploaded an additional picture in this post (please see above) to give you and other viewer’s better idea of surrounding. Enjoy!

Yastai Ho! I do have this big wish to publish book of my photography works someday. I guess such wish is incubated at the heart every photographer who respect Photography as a fine art.
Thanks a lot for poking my ‘Wish’.
