    Run the Van
98510 91446 blinks on the LCD of my cell phone, transmitted voice of Rudra softly spoke to me if we could gather a team. For which I could manage Prakash, Sharad, Prabhakar, Milan, Hitesh, me and Rudra himself for conquering the Sunday tradition of D2 Nepal to go on an adventure.
In respect to the mutual consent out of our above listed, to add the pleasure Shekhar and Pradipna appeared in the office premises and happily shown their enthusiasm to join the squad for the trip.
At 10:00 am eight of us left the office then picked up Milan at Soaltee junction. The contingent of ten including Ram geared up for proposed destination toward Daman. Through the hustling and bustling crowd of Kalanki we reached Naubise in around an hour with uncountable pause. We stopped for refreshment after the jostle ride and entered to Chandeshwori Restaurant for the brunch which was combined of mutton fry and beaten rice. The meal replaced our tedious drive with vivacity to move on.
With this get up and go attitude our van slowly began to ascend Satghumti, which was famous for winding turns in yester-days. After driving over the Sathghumti for an hour or so we arrived at 2030 meters height the place called Tistung, had a stop for look around and Rudra was willing to climb the eastern hill of the place but could not do that. 30 minutes of another ride brought us to Palung and halted for while to have a cultural exchange. After a consultations with a local Vishnu insisted to drive toward Agarbhanjyang on a newly built road. One hour of cruise from Palung teammates did not appreciate the turn and decided to return to previous junction of Palung Bazaar, there after headed to Daman.
It was almost 5 o’clock in the evening when we decided to charge with wee dram to overcome our fatigue simultaneously we put an order to prepare an early dinner for the typical traditional Nepalese taste. To satisfy our temptation Kalo Daal (black pulse), Gundruk (dried soured green), mustard green and of course without missing the mutton were prepared. This feast was lavish enough to rejuvenate all of us. When we done with this Daman party it was nearly 6:30 pm and time for us was to return.
At the beginning when we started from Kathmandu we had a hope that we would make a reasonable hike but somehow we could not maintain the stride instead it turned “run the van”
Although Rudra’s tactful approach of discussion engaged us in playful manner for 12 hours was incredible and appreciable. Sometime finesse in certain way can be entertaining if it remains unharmed in words and deeds.
