    Gone

    Gone

Pestilence plagues the realm of man
Disease spreads wings across the land
Famine rides wild, extinction is at hand
The hand of doom on our graves pours sand

None of this matters to me
All that matters is that she’s gone

Spring arrives in the grandest fashion
    Young hearts rustle with temptation
With petals that bloom love comes around
Birds of heaven of delight make sounds

All of this passes by me
All that matters is that she’s gone

Across all frontiers war rages on
No end in sight to planned annihilation
Creatures of divine with each dawn are slain
Evil prevails all across the mortal plains

    It is immaterial to me
All that matters is that she’s gone

Amidst the pandemonium, chaos and death
Astonishing is the stand of Man’s faith
All scars are erased as time goes by
The powers that be make way for new life

None of it makes me happy
All that matters is that she’s gone

Heretic, read lots of your compositions. Some are excellent, some good enough to go through once. I am more interested to know why your poems are more of sorrow, grief and pain? Isn’t that a good writer explores more of emotions, expressions and not just one of them? Good luck dude…
