New National Anthem of Nepal
सयौं थूंगा फूलका हामी, एउटै माला नेपाली
सार्वभौम भइ फैलिएका, मेची-महाकाली ।
प्रकृतिका कोटी-कोटी सम्पदाको आंचल
वीरहरुका रगतले, स्वतन्त्र र अटल
ज्ञानभूमि, शान्तिभूमि तराई, पहाड, हिमाल
अखण्ड यो प्यारो हाम्रो मातृभूमि नेपाल ।
बहुल जाति, भाषा, धर्म, संस्कृति छन् विशाल
अग्रगामी राष्ट्र हाम्रो, जय जय नेपाल ।
ENGLISH TRANSLATION
We are hundreds of flowers, the one garland - Nepali
Sovereign, spread out from Mechi to Mahakali.
Amassing nature’s millions of heritage
By the blood of the braves, independent and immovable.
Land of knowledge, land of peace, Terai hills, mountains
Undivided this beloved, our motherland Nepal.
Diverse race, language, religion, culture are so large
Our progressive nation, long live, long live Nepal.

(As per “Kantipur”) The government has agreed to approve poet Byakul Maila’s song as the new National Anthem of Nepal, a senior minister said Thursday. The government informed about the approval nearly after six months the song was recommended by the National Anthem Selection Task Team. “The government has already made decision on the song,” said Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prithvi Subba Gurung, referring the 34-year-old lawyer–Maila’s song. The new National Anthem was selected from a total of 1272 different songs submitted from across the country. — Rumor is the music composition part is handed over to Ambar Gurung, a veteran musician.

Regarding our last national anthem ‘srimaan gambhir..’
as a child I never got the meaning of the complex sanskrit words .
then when I too was a victim of the propagandist nationalism , I was very touched by the very tune,
and then when I started to get the words, I used to feel pity for our own slavish ideals.
This new song is simple and sweet. Little school children will enjoy it.
What I like most abt it is that is carries the right notion of nepali nationalism “diversity” than the feudal concept of “gorkhe birata”.
